The band are proud to announce that over the past 7 weeks, they have helped to introduce 33 children to the wonderful world of brass and percussion!
This has been generously funded by the Do It For East Yorkshire Our Place Youth Fund by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council and the band are endlessly thankful for the financial support 
which has been provided to allow children to learn skills for life.
which has been provided to allow children to learn skills for life.Many plastic instruments for the children to play have also been kindly donated by the North Wolds Lions, giving younger children a chance to join in and make the most of the opportunity.
With the help of funding streams like this, we are able to provide musical education and support for young players who are able to keep the long standing traditions of brass banding going!
Further to this, the band are now relaunching the East Riding Youth Brass Band. Under the skilled baton of their conductor Alistair Hull, young players will now have an opportunity to rehearse together on every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month at Nafferton Village Hall between the hours of 5 and 6pm. All young players under the age of 21 are welcome to join this band regardless of prior musical experience. For more information, please email admin@driffieldband.com
